Totum has secured B Corp accreditation, reflecting its longstanding and continuing commitment to make a positive difference to the world. The achievement as made as the firm marked its 20th anniversary.
B Corp Certification designates a business as meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability and transparency. It covers a wide range of social and environmental factors from employee wellbeing, benefits and career development, client feedback programmes, and charitable work to environmental protection including supply chain practices. The process is rigorous and requires engagement across the whole business to provide insights into operations, structure, work processes and how stated values translate into action.
“As a recruitment firm, we have always believed we play a vital role at the heart of our sector bringing together individuals and firms in a way that prioritises honesty, integrity, and equity of opportunity for all,” Deborah Grey, a director at Totum, told The Professionals.
“We are thrilled to now join the wider community of Certified B Corporations that are similarly committed to making their businesses a force for good in the world.”
“The B Corp Certification is the culmination of a project that has taken over 12 months to complete and has touched upon every part of our business,” adds Sarah Broad, Totum’s Head of Marketing and Projects. “It has enabled us to thoroughly review all of our structures and processes, and has instilled a culture of continuous improvement that we will take into our future work and business partnerships.
“We work with firms across the professional services sector that share the view that good business comes from a holistic outlook incorporating careful and continuous consideration of the culture, values and behaviours that drive sustainable success. We now look forward to taking our B Corp Certification into the next part of our journey, to work alongside our clients, candidates and wider community, to further support positive change for all.”
