Devonshires appoints Nicholas Barrows as first Chief Marketing Officer

Devonshires appointed Nicholas Barrows its first Chief Marketing Officer. Nicholas, who previously worked at Devonshires from 2006 to 2008, is rejoining the firm after an 18-year spell with Trowers & Hamlins – most recently as its Director of Marketing.

He will be working with the firm’s senior leadership team and heads of department to further strengthen the firm’s existing business development and marketing teams. Nicholas will assume overall responsibility for these departments, with key ambitions including the continuing growth of Devonshires’ corporate and facilities management services, whilst maintaining its leading position in the living sector.

His appointment continues a period of strong growth for the firm which now numbers over 380 staff across four offices in London, Leeds, Birmingham, and Colchester, with Nicholas’ arrival following on from the hire of two new partners in January.

Commenting on his appointment, Nicholas said: “I am delighted to be returning to Devonshires. I have been struck by how much the firm has grown and changed in the years since I last worked here, and am excited by the opportunity to consolidate and build on that growth. I very much look forward to working with my new colleagues, not least Duncan Edwards, Charlotte Wilson, and Jude Williamson, to ensure that Devonshires continues to go from strength to strength.”

Duncan Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at Devonshires, added: “It is a pleasure to be welcoming Nicholas back to Devonshires. He was the standout candidate to lead our excellent marketing and business development teams as our first Chief Marketing Officer at what is an exciting time for the firm. I am confident that his strong track record across all areas of marketing and business development, as well as his deep understanding of our core sectors, will make him a hugely valuable addition to the team.”
